Beer Milkshake

I have had an urge to make a beer milkshake since reading about it in cannery row by Steinbeck. The character doc wonders what it would be like to try one, he eventually ordered one in a diner and thought why not just make one so I mixed together 2 part beer to 1 part milk. stirred it up. and drank it down. At first it was ok and it really just tasted like beer with a hint of milk after taste, however about 30 minutes later, well lets just say my stomach was telling a different story.
