Gothenburg

19/08/2009

Hey, Im currently in Gothenburg. Have lots of photos I want to share and reviews of art museums etc. I will be updating all this hopefully next week! But today I went to the design museum and saw some really interesting print work by two designers, Maud Fredin Fredholm and VUOKKO. I really liked Maud Fredin Fredholms prints, the colours and patterns worked really well and she is 90 this year and still working! so that’s something to aspire to!

Final show

04/08/2009

so I figured that I should post something about my final show for my art and design foundation show, which I completed in june this year. My dad put this slideshow together using iphoto so I think it’s a good way to show my work. My project title was ‘lace like structures: overgrown gardens’ the idea was to look at my garden and the way plants overlapped each other creating interesting shapes. I worked a lot with paper and cut outs, as you can see from the photos, I used mainly prints and incorporated stitch into this I liked working with different papers and overlapping them to create interesting effects and shapes. Please take a look at the slideshow bellow.
